MINNEAPOLIS, Minnesota, October 1, 2025 – Heraeus Medevio today announced the appointment of Philipp Grothe as President, effective immediately. Grothe succeeds Heiko Specht and will lead the company’s mission to partner with medical device companies to deliver high value solutions improve patients’ lives worldwide.
Grothe brings extensive experience in driving growth across complex organizations. He previously served as CFO of Heraeus Medevio and Heraeus Epurio, leading global teams, overseeing strategic M&A, and delivering strong financial results. Earlier in his career, he advised clients on strategy, transformation and corporate finance at the consultancy Roland Berger, honing his ability to guide diverse teams through organizational change and expansion.
Heiko Specht will join the Heraeus Executive Board as Managing Director Healthcare. In his new role, he will lead all Heraeus activities within the Healthcare markets, with responsibility over currently five Heraeus healthcare companies and ambition to unlock growth opportunities through future investments in this space.

Philipp Grothe holds an MSc in International Finance from HEC Paris and a BSc in Business Administration from WU Vienna.
